A Macedonian guest house with a touch of Dutch Hospitality

Our Guesthouse is located near the National Park Galičica in the fisherman’ village Pestani, just 80 meters away from the Lake of Ohrid. Our location has come from the roots of the Basoski family. Literally, not only lives and has lived the family Basoski here for a long time, as well the land used to be occupied with vegetables and fruits where the family has lived from. Nowadays a modern, full-year blossoming garden has set the base for our company Lale Tours and the Pension Lale.
Within the garden, multiple terraces, an outside kitchen, pool, and lounge area are located for our guest to use. On the main terrace a grapevine is growing to keep us cool during those sunny days, to swim, a plunge in the swimming pool or just a small walk to the lake will give you the most comfort. In the evenings lounging in one of the hammocks near the mountain will be the best place to read a book and enjoy the calmness of the village. Looking for some more excitement? Ohrid or the National Park Galičica is just within in a 20-minute drive. Ohrid is a vibrant city in the summer, many restaurants can be found and a walk in the old town is recommended. The National Park of Galičica is a place for adventure, where hiking, paragliding and going off road is a normal days business. Meet Our Team

Ontdek het Hart van Lale Tours: Een Verhaal van Liefde, Avontuur en Familie

In 1983 begon het verhaal van Coby in het charmante dorpje Pestani, Macedonië. Op het zonnige strand van haar hotel, op de stijger, ontmoette ze Dimitri, een lokale visser. Ondanks de taalbarrière bloeide er een prachtige liefde op. Samen trotseerden ze de tijd, trouwden en creëerden een gezellig leven in Nederland met hun kinderen Nathalie en Christiaan.

Jaren gingen voorbij, maar Dimitri en Coby koesterden een droom: hun liefde voor Macedonië delen met anderen. In 2003 besloten ze terug te keren, het ouderlijk huis om te toveren tot een gastvrije bed & breakfast en Lale Tours op te richten. Het werd een familieaangelegenheid waar iedereen met plezier aan meewerkte.

Toen de pandemie toesloeg, trotseerde Christiaan de uitdagingen, reisde naar Nederland om het bedrijf draaiende te houden, en ontmoette op oudejaarsavond Elisabeth. Het was liefde op het eerste gezicht, en ze deelden een visie: Lale Tours naar nieuwe hoogten brengen.

In 2022 keerden Christiaan en Elisabeth terug naar Noord-Macedonië en traden in het huwelijk. Hun gezin werd compleet met de komst van Mila in 2023. Nu, als een team, zetten ze zich in voor Lale Tours, met een passie om mensen onvergetelijke ervaringen te bieden.
